Walt Disney World Cast Members recently participated in a beam signing event to lend their signature to EPCOT's upcoming World Celebration district.

Among those signing the steel beam were Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle, the 2023 Walt Disney World Ambassadors, and cast from throughout the park.

While we don't know where the beam will be used, it will likely be destined for the Communicore Hall building, the last major piece of construction underway in World Celebration.

"We spent the money so we're gonna use the Play logo. For what? We don't know but it'll be on stuff."

Exactly. Zach Ridley talked about the Festival Center logo in passing in a post about the Entrance flags and he referred to it as the World Celebration logo.

The one for the "EPCOT Experience" makes sense because that was always for the Odyssey as a whole, regardless of what's in it. As does the Festival Center, because that has been retconned to represent all of World Celebration. Play's a real head scratcher though, odd that they continue to use that icon when the actual project is very much not moving forward.

They had all of these on a puzzle or something that they released after the cancellation of various elements at some point as well. They could actually probably re-brand the Festival Center one as being representative of Celebration Gardens since the icon looks a bit like COR-TEN shade structures in the northwest corner.

I think it more likely that someone designed this graphic five years ago (possibly for the festival center) and they decided to re-use it without stopping to consider what was represented.

Cool, but…..the inclusion of the Play icon is so incredibly odd. Unless they’re keeping it for whatever iteration the space will become, but I doubt it.

All 12 Icons revealed from 2019 D23 are featured, including one for the PLAY! Pavilion, The Epcot Experience and the one for the original festival center

I think I can guess the answer, but I’ll ask anyway. Did they paint that on the walls or are they wall stickers that will start peeling with the help of the guests’ fingers?

They should've added an obnoxious Danny Kaye on a Golf Cart yelling at Ron Miller on the mural..

Unfortunately not enough people will be fully honest about what has happened to World Celebration. Blocked views of the countries that you will get lit.

That blank white wall needs some trees to mask it!

I see that now. It just feels like Disney is trolling us and it’s annoying

Don’t give up hope. We thought we were stuck with all that crap in the lagoon for the next 20 years and it was so bad they had to take it out!
