Future World East bypass walkway

The center of Epcot's Future World is now completely closed off as the final locations in that area close and a new eastern bypass walkway opens to guests.

Guests are being directed to use the newly created walkways on each side of Spaceship earth, with the right hand-side leading to The Seas, The Land and Imagination!, and the left-side walkway between Guest Relations and Gateway Gifts leading to Mission: Space and Mouse Gear.

Along with large signs around Spaceship Earth, Cast members are holding signs and advising people on the best walkway to take.

Heading past Gateway Guests, the new concrete design is in place on the ground - replacing the pink color with a stone concrete.

Guest Relations is as far as you can go before hitting a row of walls.

A sharp left turn takes you towards the Guardians of the Galaxy construction site.

The walkway ultimately puts guests by the new Mouse Gear and into Future World East.

The old breezeway is walled off.

New FastPass+ kiosks have been installed by Test track, and near to Nemo in Future World West.

With the closure of Electric Umbrella, Sunshine Seasons offers burgers, the Epcot Experience now serves chicken nuggets and salads, and the Taste Track kiosk will offer burgers and fries near to Test Track, although this is not yet open but expected soon.

One thing is for sure, guests will be hot most of the year, and always standing while watching these shows. I'll take an air conditioned space and a place to sit anytime!

Stage lighting is used during the day. The lights imply nothing about showtime plans.

I would assume many shows will be at night, hence the lights.

I I know they tore down the original innoventions buildings by accident, but I wish they simply gutted the buildings and put a stage inside the building so the performances could be enjoyed in an air conditioned space, and maybe even with seating!! I know, I know, I am such a dreamer. This standing in the hot sun to watch stuff is not good. Yes, I remember watching the fountain of nations in the hot sun, but the water spray from fountains was like natural air conditioning and it was bearable to stand there and watch the fountain show.

Besides this lighting, how much construction is actually still going on in terms of the “Transformation”? I was there two weeks ago, and saw some walls by the Moana bathroom/utilidor stairs and the Imagination path flex space along with the CommuniCore area, but I don’t remember any walls other than that. When this opens, is that all the walls left?

Yes. They could have easily done a drop, using the triangle pattern for the grid vs. the standard squares/rectangles. It could be filled with some type of tile - with necessary ones removed based on each show's lighting/sound/rigging requirements. The sleek underside almost looks worse with this approach IMHO.

nope just how it appears from this image maybe only from the side from a box square building. The acne pimples 😐 yeah were a real period.

I think the big problem with this is sleek, shinny surface it is in front of which just makes all wiring stick out like a soar thumb. Compare it to American Gardens theater where it all sort of get swallowed by the dark space over the stage.

lol - you must have vivid nightmares😀

Those Diamond triangles work so well on Spaceship Earth but here just from this angle it looks like they are sticking on the building like an abomination of pimples, the diamonds look like mouths like they all would go "my my my" calling out like the seagulls in finding nemo.. scary and itching looking. 😂😬 In the Florida raging heat.

Where, outside Tommorowland, does Disney have mostly white/light colored buildings to avoid seeing bird droppings?

Clamman732 days ago

Having dark tiles and birds dropping something on it isn't the best look.

Not a fan of the rigging being out like that. I really wish this were an enclosed theater or even fully indoor. The Encanto show won’t be much fun when the real feel is 100°+…

If nothing isn’t stalled then they’re not using the stage which means we’re right back to dead space…
