In this first look at one of the finished show scenes in Tiana's Bayou Adventure, here are a couple of amphibious friends who love to sit back, relax and catch up on all the gossip from around the bayou.

Gloria and Delores the frogs are best friends who love to observe folks as they float in logs down the bayou.

Also, keep an eye out for Lari the armadillo. This mischievous fella, while quiet in demeanor, seems to always show up where you least expect him to. He apparently has a habit of "borrowing" things that aren't his (although those things eventually make it into the right "paws").

In this final installment of the critter musician reveal, here is a first look at critters who bring the jazzy sounds and complex rhythms of Afro-Cuban music to life in the bayou at Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

Felipe the Frog – Deep among the cypress trees, you'll hear band leader Felipe making musical magic on the piano! Felipe is also the proprietor of an exclusive bayou night club, where the local fireflies love to dance the night away to a musical recipe of hot rhythms and spicy melodies. He's an old-school family guy, especially to his "family" in the band.

Mayra the Frog – Have you ever seen a frog play a flower blossom like a trumpet? You will when you meet Mayra; be sure to stick around for one of her toe-tapping solos. Mayra's the most ambitious of the four frogs and has been practicing her instrument since she was just a tadpole!

Mondo the Frog – Mondo is a natural on the conga drums, which he made as a happy accident when his favorite bottle cap got stuck on his second-favorite acorn. From there, the rhythm in Mondo's soul took over! He's very copacetic and accepts what comes, a trait as steady and reliable as his drumbeat.

Isabel the Green Tree Frog – Learning from Mondo's example, Isabel loves getting lost in the music playing her congas. She's the youngest member of the group, and there's nothing she loves more than "going with the flow" and getting to play drums all night long!

With this latest reveal, we still need an update on the opening date for Tiana's Bayou Adventure. For now, Disney is sticking to the "summer 2024" opening at Walt Disney World and later in 2024 at Disneyland Resort.

My gut feeling is the ride will be on VQ the first few days only but will move to standby very quickly. I’d be surprised if it’s still on VQ headed into the first eligible EEH night (Wednesday). They could also move to standby for EEH, but I think it just makes it more complicated.

🙂 Agree….things were running very smooth. I watched for about half an hour, it was interesting. Good to see the logs moving again, as it really does add additional kinetic energy to the area. Nice group of people hanging out with me at the time as well. All obvious fans of the prior Attraction. -

Keep in mind that VQ is the substitute for Standby. It's free. No one-time purchase. No need to buy Genie+. Just like Standby. Only, it is a *scheduled* Standby. This keeps it from become a 2-4 hour ordeal (or allows them to quickly clear out the queue if the ride goes down). It seems, as far as I can gleam, that initially, there will be VQ in place of Standby, along with Genie+ 'fastpasses.' (Genie+ costs extra). Then, after "a few days" (a week?, a month?) the VQ will be replaced by standard Standby, along with Genie+. Kinda surprised that they'll use Genie+ and not ILL.

You are correct. The logs are dispatching at 100% efficiency right now with no guests delaying the boarding process, so they are stopping at the top until the previous log passes the sensor at the splashdown area. It's neat to see the process without guests and delays.

Sign of the times…..? Things are a bit different now with Disney when it comes to things like this. Not too long ago I remember Imagineers were ‘annoymous’. -

Red tagged ones may sink and are saved for Standby. Genie+ gets you an unsinkable log.

Here now in front of the Attraction, logs are being cycled through. Good crowd here right now watching with me on the bridge. Some of the logs are tagged with red tags attached to the ‘rope point’ on the back. Not sure what the designation is for…but here is a quick snapshot - Another observation - The logs are stopping at the top of the lift hill. Hesitating…just for a moment. They are are not just tumbling over the lift as usual. May just be the spacing settings, waiting for the prior log to get out of the clearance range, but wanted to note it. Every single log is stopping at the top…as if it might be a part of the experience now. Two Imagineers just rode by with camera equipment set up in one of the logs.

Risky, could take down the internet for the eastern US. But seriously, there may be a tech hurdle involved, which means ut-oh spaghetti-o. True story: on a trip a semi full of spaghetti-o caught fire and closed the freeway. Waited in line for hours. That phrase has had meaning ever since. Every time we're in a traffic jam we muse that they shouldn't transport spaghetti-o across state lines without a hazmat permit.
