With just over a month to go until the debut of Walt Disney World's new 'Disney Dreams That Soar' drone show at Disney Springs, crews on the ground are preparing the staging area to serve as the launch site for the drones.

A large section of the Strawberry Parking lot has been closed behind Cirque du Soleil adjacent to the lake, and a perimeter fence is being installed around the site.

"Disney Dreams That Soar" is a summertime experience that will be a late-night perk for visitors. Taking place over the Disney Springs lake, it will showcase Disney stories celebrating the joy of flight with state-of-the-art drones choreographed to create designs in the sky, paired with a "soaring" musical score and memorable movie quotes. Disney Dreams That Soar will run nightly from May 24 through September 2, 2024.

While we don't yet have specific details of the new show, we can expect hundreds of drones to be part of 'Disney Dreams That Soar.' Walt Disney World has previously hosted a limited-time drone show, Starbright Holidays, at Disney Springs for the 2016 holiday season in association with Intel and its Shooting Star drone product. That 5-minute show featured 300 drones, intricately choreographed in 3D space over the Disney Springs lake and synchronized to holiday music.

That's cool I guess for the 5% of people who will know that reference. I'm actually really happy they're adding in all these deep cuts.

I've heard that Moon Girl from that Disney/Marvel cartoon Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur is represented in this show(if you found the answer to a previous post of this character was, then you found the answer)

I think that you could put this song in Wish and have no idea it wasn’t meant to be there, it sounds SO MUCH like the Wish songs! I showed the song to each of my family members and every single one immediately said it sounded like the songs from Wish. Maybe unpopular opinion: The Wish songs work somewhat well in Wish, but IDK if I like that style in a nighttime spectacular…

Every song they make for shows/parades pretty much sounds like Happily Ever After to me. 😂

What kind of music do you think captures Disney at its best?

Disneys music choices for some time now have not been the best. Makes me very nervous what they will come up with for the nighttime parade.

For those planning ahead to watch the show in June, it appears Disney Dreams That Soar will not be performed on June 10.

On my resume, my only special skill is “I are the Magic.” Only one I need.
