Mary Poppins is now periodically meeting guests in the new Main Street Plaza West Gardens at the Magic Kingdom.

The location has been tested over the last few weeks, and now looks set to continue. Snow White, who has also been testing in this location, has returned to her usual spot near to the exit of Town Square Theater.

This has to be the different type of guest. Most Disneyland guest are several time a year visitors or at least once a year. wDW is a vacation no way around it.

I wish Disneyland brought out more rare characters to hang out more often in the resort.

No wonder I seen tons of Disneyland videos of the characters from Alice In Wonderland wandering around the park including Tommorowland and the Wishing Well.

I'm on the same boat

What about the meet and greets in Tokyo Disney Resort?

That looks like a really nice place for a meet and greet.

At Disneyland whoever gets there first wins. Usually the characters pick up a following walking to their meet and greet spot and once they get there a line just naturally forms. At times there will be 7 or 8 characters scattered around the courtyard, it's one of my favorite parts of DL, you can sit by the flagpole and be surrounded by Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Chip and Dale, Cruella, and maybe even a princess or two.

You still get roaming Peter Pan and Alice and the Mad Hatter roaming in Disneyland. Not as often as they were a few years ago but it still happens.

That sounds wonderful- lovely area for a M&G. If you can get a snap of her with the castle as a backdrop, even better! I haven't met Mary Poppins yet, so that's a character to hunt in November!

They seem to do just fine at Disneyland. Meet and greets for the top tier bunch I understand need a place, but characters that can go low profile should go low profile.

I kind of wish Mary would appear in her dark coat and hat and umbrella - her nanny outfit - rather than her Jolly Holiday outfit. I suppose the former would be too hot for the Florida sun or something?

I have been to Disneyland Paris twice, and found the whole place to be "pushy" no matter where you went.

We met Mary in this location with no wait in early August - it was quite pleasant. We also met Snow White in the East garden right after the block party bash (or whatever it's name now is) with no wait. Both are very nice locations.

Problem at DLP is that the CMs (if they're even there) make no effort to form an orderly line, and on more than one occasion I've been told that the character gets to pick the next guest. It just ends up being a mob of people. "Impromptu" M&Gs don't have to be a lineless throng; they can work as long as the CMs have the proper training and the right policies are in place.
