The walkway improvement project continues in EPCOT's World Showcase, with work moving to the China Pavilion area.

Over the past year, the plain pink concrete has been gradually removed from the World Showcase promenade. Work has so far been completed in Morocco, Japan, France, and Germany.

As we have seen at the other pavilions, the new concrete work is textured and is a much more attractive and exciting design than the plain pink color.

I don't have much of an opinion on whether it would be better to keep the uniform red concrete around the promenade versus different paving for each country, but a little puzzled that the head of the pavement matters too much. Are people wandering around barefoot?

I liked the red better. It was something special that has been in Disney for years. This is just generic and will likely be hotter than the old one.

I wonder how well this will deflect the heat or will it just make the ground even hotter.
