For the most part, that was the paint scheme that they were going for... it's still very strange and very ugly.

Holy thread bump, Batman! So, I haven't be able to make it to the parks in years and I really found this old thread interesting. Does anyone have any shots of how the plaza and surrounding buildings look today? Did they ever finish the paint job? And I assume that the canopy is still around, correct? Cheers!

Yes ... Club Cool does have some noticable smell when you walk in. Is it just the nasty soda that sits in the drain of the machines and sticks to the floor? I couldn't believe how crowded it was in there too. Everyone just huddles around the fountains, you have to practically shove your way in. I know it's "omg free!" but move out of the way people ... lol

But remember, most guests aren't aware of the issue so that makes it OK ;) But yes, the audio is bad. I also must repeat that I hate the stage in front of the fountain. The stage they NEVER use.

I can see how the bad paint job has affected the fountain. Very sad. Or... wait, was it the other way around? Did the poor performance of the fountain, and sound have an effect on the paint job? Or was there an improvement... Now I'm confused... back to the discussion at hand: Why the cool club smells so awful. ( What do you mean that wasn't the topic? It's in the same area.)

Good audio by club cool and mouse gear but thats about it. Seems like those tiny light post speakers at the Magic Kingdom can pump out better sound.

i'm in the park at least once every 2 weeks. I know what you mean.

Photos don't do a good job of capturing how it really looks. It's worse...

You heard more than me when i went last Saturday!

Yes, yes, and yes! Whoever is responsible for that atrocity of a paint scheme should be tarred and feathered. The worst its ever been. Now - that is a judgment!

roj2323Apr 24, 2015

As for the paint job, I still hate it.

KeeKeeApr 24, 2015

Yikes! Really? It's not a judgment, just an observation. They need to correct the problem with the audio quality in that area. Just add that to the list. There is a list, right? Somebody's keeping a list aren't they?

Those who utilize peril sensitive sunglasses. Do you know if, when it was still current technology, did the Lights of Winter installation include its own P.A. system or did they utilize existing sound systems?
