The Main Street Plaza Gardens West are now open at the Magic Kingdom.
Part of the massive hub redevelopment project on Main Street U.S.A., the new area brings a dedicated FastPass+ viewing area for Wishes, new walkways to help ease congestion in the hub, all new landscaping, audio, lighting and water features.
The character sculptures that were previously in the center of the hub also have a new home here in the gardens around the fountain area.
The Wishes fireworks viewing garden is open to all guests throughout the day, but before Wishes will be closed off and entrance permitted to Wishes FastPass+ holders. RFID scanners are in place at the entrance, and the garden looks like it will hold a couple of hundred guests.
Work on the Main Street Plaza Gardens East, which will largely be a duplicate of the West side, is still ongoing but should be complete in the very near future. Now that the gardens are complete, attention will shift to the center of the hub and the area nearer to the castle, which will bring more walkways and enhancements.
You can view more photos in the gallery, and for a clearer idea of the layout of the new gardens and walkways, check out the video walkthrough of the new area below.
