PHOTOS - Construction walls up between Epcot's Mexico and Norway as part of Frozen expansion

Work is about to begin on the expansion to the Norway Pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase.

Construction walls are now up along the promenade between Mexico and Norway as part of the first phase of construction of the approximately 13,000 sq. ft. Frozen meet and greet facility.  The building will be located between the existing Norway Pavilion and the Mexico Pavilion in an available expansion pad. Although located next to the former Maelstrom show building, the new meet and greet building is a stand-alone structure with its own entrance. It is expected the experience will be similar to the recently opened Princess Fairytale Hall at the Magic Kingdom's New Fantasyland.

Already under construction in the former Maelstrom building is the new Frozen ride, opening in early 2016.

Oh god, I was so bored and then I saw this. Hooray! I salute you, crazy fan, for the dedication and zeal with which you attempt -and succeed!- at making yourself sound like a whiny, self entitled, little kid without their mommy. Truly, this post has been a work of art that trolls of the next decade will be studying, hoping they can one day make a spiel as ridiculous as yours. Thank you, for the priviledge of being able to see it, it has brightened up my whole morning. My personal highlight would be "if you disagree with me, you're wrong" I clap to your inflated ego, I do! But I would like to point out Forum Rules are not a Penal Code; not following them to the Very Strict Letter will not harm anyone, sweetie. It could be easily argued that most of the conversation here was hardly that off topic at all. Frozen Contruction Ever After isnt a ride made in limbo; so why is it so off topic to compare and contrat other rides to it, and then give our opinions? Ultimately the problem here is that you, with your inflated sense of self importance, feel bothered by the fact hat you cannot click on a thread and be immediately taken to literal news of the topic. You and your high horse, being forced to...I cant bare to say it...scroll through a few comments and even -the horror!- have to click on older pages to check for information?? The absurdity of it all! News and opinions often come hand in hand. Making a thread for "contruction" another for "comparisons for said construction" and yet another for "my opinion on said construction" is silly, and simply clutters the board unnecessarily. And since those things often go hand in hand...migth as well have them in the same place, especially since there's little news coming out. May I suggest, Thy Holy Tantrum Thrower, that rather than check the discussion page of news, you first check the News section of wdwmagic? When there's Frozen news, they'll make a post with the subject nicely explained for you, and even link you to the forum dicussion page. The mods have more important matters to take care of.

They have been extra tight lipped.

LOL well we did get a video not long ago about how they are doing decorative paint details on the walls...ho hum. it's a nice detail but when one is looking for things of interest to talk about, this would not make the conversation...they might as well do a video to talk about the air conditioning filters they are using...

It does seem we are way past overdue for one of those videos telling us how amazing it will be and all the little details they've been working on to make this ride come to life. Makes me think they may be a little embarrassed of this one. Here's how the video starts: These boats have been crafted with the finest detail, I mean they are the same as before we just took the mold off. This ride system...well really it's the same as it was before. But the animatronics they are really cool and the story line, it is nice but maybe a little short. But the queue and shop and meet and greet will be truly immersive.

I am surprised Disney has not released a little video snippet of Frozstrum yet...like they did for Little Mermaid...showing off animatronics..jst something to generate a little positive feedback... It would be nice to see a little something more than the outside of a cabin. I mean as long as they are shoving Frozen down our throats, we may as well have something to get excited about...aside from the concept art we have all seen ad-nauseum.

Completely agree with you. These threads are getting worse every day because of a select few that want to say the same things over and over again. And then they come back with "well now your off topic". Well someone needs to point it out to you all that you keep going off topic in hopes that we don't have to go through 10 pages with just one on topic post. I vote for keeping things on topic!

Hope you feel better now that you got that off your chest. Must have been tough holding that all in for so long. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but you also don't have to hang around here if you don't like how the place is run. Calling out the owner and moderators of this site isn't right either. They do all they can to try and keep this the best place to find WDW news and discussion. Would you want to be the one to comb through the thousands of posts a day? I wouldn't. When I find a thread that is off topic and not to my personal liking, I simply close it and move on with my life. I'm thankful for the thankless job that Steve and the mods do with this site that provides all of us with a place to get our daily dose of Disney. Please don't mess that up for the rest of us.

What about Frozen?

G00fyDadMay 05, 2016

Coming into this thread every day and reading the crap I missed.....

marni1971May 05, 2016

Are you posting off topic?

impressive display of "badas sery" in a forum. ps, nobody likes a "backseat moderator". If you feel there are problems with it.. then take your complains to them.
