The Walt Disney Co. announced Monday that they will close the feature-animation studio in Orlando, Florida. Around 300 jobs will be affected by the closure.
The closure is understood to be due to a decline in the popularity of hand-drawn animation, with a preference of movie goers to see computer animated movies, such as Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo.
