The new walkway alongside the queue for Tiana's Bayou Adventure is now open to guests at Magic Kingdom.

The walkway connects the train station entrance to the restrooms adjacent to the outdoor queue at Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

The old solid red concrete path has been replaced with pavers and iron fencing.

With this new section now open, the other side of the walkway under the train station has been closed off for work to begin.

The Magic Kingdom now has its very own Yeti. It won't make it more than a couple of months before it breaks.

“We have them paying more than ever for tickets PLUS we’ve convinced them by our bungling of park capacity for 15 years that they have to pay to ride things?!?!”

Depending on where exactly the mist is (I haven’t watched any video or seen any pics yet) you could only get a split-second view before dropping.

Thing is, if you line up your shot just the right way, the boat does look like it has a butt crack...

No, I have a method of dealing with that. I duck down and shield them when I reach the very bottom, which is only a split second (I do this more to minimize getting wet, but it helps avoid the glasses problem too). Liquid water actually isn't nearly as much of a problem as fog. The glass fogging up is much more of an obstruction than a splash of water, it also lingers for much longer and sometimes even requires me to remove and wipe them. Water rolls off pretty much immediately, or it'll only leave small droplets and doesn't affect my ability to see all that much.

You don't think coming up out of the mist revealing the view won't be cool?

And now we know the front runner for the first thing that stops working and is never repaired.

Don’t your glasses get wet 3 seconds later?

I wear glasses, so I hope they don't fog up too badly from the mist effects. I have to shield my glasses on Universal's ET ride in its misty segments due to it being blasted at full force at guests. Same could happen with the mist projection that was used in Pirates if I let the vapor hit them. The calm layers of mist used in the fort bombardment scene doesn't cause any issues however. Seems to happen worse when it's more turbulent and thick right around the head. Makes me a bit concerned with these new fog effects since they look like they might be both thick and turbulent.

I hope it is. That view of the park from the top is great. Not sure why they would want to obscure that.

At some level they’re trying to obscure the view to outside, how successful that’ll be remains to be seen

I don't know how surprised people will be if they have just finished a long, steep lift-hill.

Interesting, so the drop is somewhat shrouded until the last moment. The crest is more of a surprise element than a focal point
