Disney's Hollywood Studios debuted its new Grand Avenue this morning - the area that replaces part of the former Streets of America, and home to the new BaseLine Tap House.

Capturing the spirit of present-day Downtown Los Angeles, the new Grand Avenue showcases vintage office buildings and warehouses representing the different vibrant districts and cultures of the city. One prominent hot spot to spring up is the Baseline Tap House, a cheerful corner pub specializing in beer and wines from California.

The BaseLine Tap House opens later today, so check back for more photos.

Like the old Streets of America, there are elaborate window displays and sound effects playing from the facades.

Area music is hip, with tracks such as Ghostwriter by RJD2, Funkafized by Boston Horns and Melting Pot by Booker T & The MG's providing some up-beat energy to the Grand Avenue.

Grand Avenue is now the name for that entire side of the park, including PizzeRizzo, Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano, Stage 1 Company Store, It's a Wonderful Shop, and Muppet*Vision 3D.

I turned right around and headed to the old one.

Yeah, I walked in after coming off of Star Tours and was surprised at how tiny it was. It's like they relocated the soon-to-be-replaced World Showcase Plaza bathrooms over to Grand Avenue. -Rob

Imagine my surprise when I went in the side towards GE and saw (I believe) 1 stall in the men's room. Seems weird that they didn't try to connect both ends.

That's a relief! ;)

Restrooms are now open.

Not yet, but the work has been brought down and now it’s just a few planters in front of the door instead of the miles of walls.

Have these opened yet?

This building is new

I'm a bit confused... Are they brand new bathrooms? Or are they simply building a new facade and entrance into the back side of the existing bathrooms? -Rob

Sign above the door is a stylized sign that says “Women” (Bc it’s the entrance to the Women’s restroom). Shady building next door is men’s.

Photo update as of Friday, November 8, 2019. The building's (a restroom) appearance is very much in the Grand Avenue style. The sign above the door is covered.

It wouldn't hurt. There is basically no transition now and even those who defend the integrity of MK lands and sightlines readily admit that that area is atrocious with regard to thematic integrity.
