The closure of Captain Cook's quick service restaurant at Disney's Polynesian Resort for its major refurbishment has been pushed back.

Originally set to close on March 28, the restaurant will now close on April 9 2014. No confirmed reopening date is yet available, although it is expected to reopen again in the summer of 2014. During the closure, a temporary quick service location will be available in the Great Ceremonial House.

I welcome the refurbishment of the resort, but damn is there a lot going on! QS restaurant, DVC, pool, lobby...I hope they would b offering people discounts that are paying top rack rate to stay at a construction site...

Glad it is surviving the Poly construction and getting a redo, not too happy about the rest. Get your all you can eat Dole Whips quick before they are gone.... If that was the problem they could have just as easily moved the machines behind the counter.
