More exterior details are now in place at Gideon's Bakehouse including a great looking sign on the corner of the building.

Gideon’s is best known for small-batch, handmade cookies and cakes. Cookie flavors include Peanut Butter Crisp, Cookies & Cream and Pistachio Toffee Dark Chocolate. While there still isn't an official opening date, there is a hope it will be ready by the holidays.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't serious, but I hope it was drafted by a teenager. Some of the complaints are definitely legitimate if true, but a few are kind of silly, and the whole thing reads like something from Reddit.

Did you read the full letter? I can't tell if this is a joke or not, it was that unprofessional. I'm certainly not denying there may be real issues that need to be addressed, but this was not the way to do it.

…now I’m hungry for cookies

whilst I can’t confirm the veracity of this, this has recently popped up on my feeds.

Huge huge fan of their cookies even though I've only ever had them secondhand - meaning brought back cross-country from someone else's trip or shipped to me. I've had them less than 2 days old (heavenly) and more than 10 days old (their chocolate blooms pretty quickly but the cookies are still quite good) and keep them frozen in my freezer for months at a time and they keep super well! I dream of someday having an actual fresh one but alas the budget doesn't permit the trip for the foreseeable future. So I'm grateful for secondhand Gideon's. lol Admittedly I've quickly become fond of the new Costco cookies, but they're still not in the same league as Gideon's - though thankfully they're easier to get! :D

I'm an Original Chocolate Chip Cookie and True Red Velvet Cake gal. :) The long line looks intimidating, specially on weekends and in the afternoons/evenings, but (in my experience), it usually moves fairly quickly. That being said, as much as I like their cookies, Idk if I'd wait in line for more than 30-40mins to get one.

I thought the coffee cake one was good, but I've never been back. That line is wild.

Agreed.

Way, way too many chips/toppings. The actual cookie is almost superfluous.

AylaMar 05, 2024

You aren't alone. Every cookie I've ever seen from there looks disgusting. 🤢

I remember the cookie having no flavor to it...after you get past the toppings

Theming = A+ Cookies = C-

RinxMar 05, 2024

It was a one and done for us. Very average and not worth the price, calories, or wait. They aren't even baked at this location.

NunuMar 04, 2024

I like both the theming, and their cookies.
