Echo Lake Eats overview

Disney's Hollywood Studios has rolled out a new dining option just ahead of the busy summer season.

Echo Lake Eats is a group of three kiosks alongside Echo Lake, just across from Indiana Jones. The setup is just like Epcot's Food and Wine Festival, with a separate line for ordering and then pickup at the kiosk. There are a limited number standing room tables in the general area around the kiosks.

Each kiosk offers 2 main dishes, priced around $12 to $14. There are also alcoholic beverages at each.

Sliders to the Stars

A choice of two sliders, brisket or chicken. There are two per serving, and we thought the brisket slider was pretty good.

Bocados del Lago Nachos y Empanadas

This kiosk has a choice of either a Loaded Chili-Cheese Nachos or Beef Empanada. The Empanada was probably our groups favorite out of all the dishes at Echo Lake Eats.

Hollywood Waffles of Fame

On offer is a shaved Turkey Waffle Sandwich or a Ham Focaccia, both served with chips.

Echo Lake Eats is open daily from 11am to 6pm.

"Frozen Coke stand" I was like what the hell is that. I'm assuming you meant Peevys Polar Pipleline you know how Disney is when it comes to technical things.

The Disny website says there is still one at Echo Lake and one at Tower of Terror (plus the one at the main entrance outside of the park and the small one inside the Fantasmic theatre). But the one by the coke bottles does still exist even though it's not advertised or labeled on any maps.

Recent closures only lost the LMA one. Coke Bottle area is still a smoking section.

spectromagic04May 20, 2016

With all the recent closures at DHS how many smoking areas are even left?

BoltMay 20, 2016

Yes - moved back to where it was a few years ago along the water near on the other side, near the frozen Coke stand.

YodaManMay 20, 2016

Anyone know if the smoking area did in fact move?

They have proven that they can produce good QS food recently (I'm thinking the ribs at the Harambe Village). Years ago they were also able to produce good food at the Food & Wine festival using booths. And I'm sure a park that has a current reputation of lacking both attractions and palatable QS food there's an incentive to provide some tasty QS... Potential exists....

Gertie's facial expression kinda says it all...

About 4 inches long for the empanadas, and 3 inches across for the slider.

How were the portion sizes overall, in particular the empanadas and sliders? The empanadas looked a bit small but that could just be the angle of the photo.

I'm gonna bet they have that smoking area moved or removed when those kiosks open.

Photo update as of Tuesday, May 17. Here are the three new food kiosks around Echo Lake. Unfortunately, they are all located in the smoking areas.

Was at the park this morning; all three kiosks looked ready or almost ready to open.
