Opened in late 2017 as part of The Landing at Disney Springs, the family-friendly menu at Maria & Enzo's features Roman and Sicilian-inspired dishes ranging from antipasti to a variety of cured meats, imported Italian cheeses and salads, house-made and imported Italian pastas, fresh fish, richly flavored aged steaks and chops, and an exclusive selection of Italian wines only available at the restaurant.
For the month of July, Maria & Enzo's at Disney Springs is showcasing their Ravioli al Tre Formaggi - and from our tasting at a recent event, they are extremely good!
The word ravioli comes from the Italian word “riavvolgere,” which means “to wrap.” Ravioli was not served with tomato sauce until the 16th century, when tomatoes were introduced to Italy from the New World. Italian tradition is to serve vegetarian ravioli, with meat being served as a course later in the meal. The Maria & Enzo’s seasonal variation of a three cheese ravioli features parmesan, smoked pecorino, and ricotta ravioli topped with tomato sauce and an almond basil pesto.
“The signature pasta dishes that we serve at Maria & Enzo’s are so delicious and unique because of the authenticity of ingredients that we use. We go the extra mile to source our pasta from The Gentile Pasta Factory, founded in 1876, in Gragnano, Italy because it’s made using 100% Italian semolina wheat and a low-temperature natural air-drying method that pasta-makers pioneered in the sixteenth century.” – Kyle Collins, Marketing Director of Patina Restaurant Group.
When it comes to dessert Maria & Enzo's doesn't disappoint - their cannoli is made completely from scratch in-house.
If you'd like to try all the great food for yourself, Maria & Enzo's is open Sunday 10:30am to 10pm, Monday - Thursday 11:30am to 10pm, and Friday - Saturday 11:30am to 11pm.
