1 April 2007: Laugh Floor open to guests

The Laugh Floor now appears to be in full guest opening. Despite it being Annual Passholder previews this weekend, regular park guests were also being admitted, and a "NOW OPEN" sign is present in the Tomorrowland walkway.

20 March 2007: Name change

The attraction has had it's named changed from "Monsters Inc Laugh Floor Comedy Club" to "Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor". The new sign is shown below.

8 March 2007: The Laugh Floor Comedy Club Annual Passholder preview dates

Disney have today announced the preview dates for Annual Passholders.

"What's so great about getting the last laugh when you can get the first? Help Mike Wazowski, your "Monster of Ceremonies," and his wild and crazy pals power the city of Monstropolis — with laughter — at the new Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor Passholder preview. You and up to three guests can be among the first to experience the new interactive show March 30 - April 1; before its official opening at the Magic Kingdom®!

Additional Information:
Passholders must show their pass and a photo ID for admission.
Passholder Guests must have regular Theme Park Admission.
Dates and availability are subject to change without notice.
The attraction may experience downtimes during this preview period. "

21 January 2007: Limited guest testing resumes

20 December 2006: Laugh Floor Comedy Club opening pushed back

While the past few weeks have seen some guest previews, it now seems that the attraction has had it's opening pushed back from late January 2007 to Spring 2007. Since the guest testing period has been underway, it has been decided to carry out rewrites to the show. There may still be some guest previews prior to the Spring opening, but they are expected to be very limited. As always, this information is based on current information, but is subject to changes.

Disney have released a new piece of concept art for the upcoming Laugh Floor Comedy Club

4 December 2006: Laugh Floor Comedy Club signage installed

The new signs for the Laugh Floor Comedy Club are now in place outside the attraction. As you can see from the photo below, they style is very similar to Stitch's Great Escape which is located opposite.

3 October 2006: More Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club details

Disney have today released the following information on the new attraction. Of particular interest, is the sentence mentioning text-messaging jokes for use in the show.

Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club. Magic Kingdom guests will laugh, joke, sing songs and match wits with the beloved animated characters from Disney-Pixar's "Monsters, Inc." in an engaging and interactive attraction being created by the Disney Imagineers. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club features one-eyed hero Mike Wazowski, who has opened a comedy club to collect laughs that will generate electricity for the monster world of Monstropolis. As Monster-of-Ceremonies, Mike recruits two comedian wannabes whose slapstick humor delights and engages audiences. Guests will even get to text-message jokes on their cell phones for possible use in the show. The fun reigns at a 400-seat theater in Tomorrowland. (Early 2007)

12 September 2006: The Laugh Floor Comedy Club tentative opening date

The opening date for this new attraction is currently set to be around late January 2007.

26 August 2006: Show is confirmed to be seated

It is confirmed that the theater will contain 385 seats. This is welcome news to those who found the former show, The Timekeeper, to be a problem with it's standing-only configuration.

7 June 2006: Name confirmed

The name for this new attraction has today been officially confirmed as "The Laugh Floor Comedy Club".

Guests find the power of laughter in an engaging and interactive new adventure inspired by Disney-Pixar's "Monsters, Inc." as they match wits with the one-eyed hero Mike Wazowski and his friends.

Opening early 2007.

2 May 2006: Monsters Inc speculated to replace Timekeeper

It is being strongly speculated that a Monsters Inc show will replace the former Timekeeper show. The new attraction is rumored to be based on similar technology to Turtle Talk with Crush, allowing live interaction between on-screen characters, and guests in the audience.

The photo below shows the construction wall sealing off the former Timekeeper attraction. The Imaginers at Play sign is the only exterior hint that something is taking place inside the building.

Please note, that the future of the Timekeeper replacement attraction has not yet been officially confirmed by Disney.

22 February 2006: Timekeeper Character Meet and Greet relocation

Just to update the 14th February update below, the character meet and greets that were held at the Timekeeper preshow will be relocated to other areas. Buzz and Stitch will be at other areas within Tommorowland, whilst the Incredibles will move back to the Disney-MGM Studios.

14 February 2006: Timekeeper permanently closing

Timekeeper in Tommorowland will be permanently closing on 26 February 2006. Work is set to then begin on a new attraction, although at this stage, there is no reliable information on what that new attraction is.
