Whirlpool Corporation and The Walt Disney Company have announced that Whirlpool brand will be the Official Kitchen and Laundry Appliance of Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida and Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

“As a leader in their industry, Whirlpool is a household name that has been helping consumers care for their families for over a century,” said Carlos Castro, vice president of Disney Corporate Alliances. “Introducing Whirlpool’s thoughtfully designed appliances into our Disney Vacation Club properties will give Guests the perfect opportunity to experience Whirlpool products first-hand.”

With this new agreement, Whirlpool brand’s kitchen and laundry products such as refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, cooktops, microwave ovens, clothes washers and clothes dryers will be found in select Disney Vacation Club Villas at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. One bedroom or larger accommodations at Disney Vacation Club properties include full kitchens as well as clothes washers and dryers.

Whirlpool appliances will also be used to outfit the Culinary Stage for cooking demonstrations at Epcot International Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World Resort and Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival at Disneyland Resort.

In addition, Whirlpool will align with Disney Digital Network to create exciting custom food and cooking based content throughout Disney’s family of digital networks.

“As one of the world’s most beloved brands, Disney offers the perfect platform for our leading brands to better connect with consumers across the country,” said Rob Sundy, senior director of brands for Whirlpool Corporation, North American Region. “We look forward to bringing our purposeful innovation to these iconic Disney destinations.”

If you eat enough of it, you'll also sleep soundly through your triple bypass operation...

Just so long as Disney maintains an official snack cheese of WDW I will sleep soundly at night.

Seems to be a few people hoping they will sponsor COP but I think we have more chance of them wrapping a few skyliner gondalas as ovens and sponsoring that.

This is the Whirlpool setup at Food and Wine

If not for this thread, I legitimately would not have known that. I have no reason, at this time, to know what brands are owned by what company. (sarc=on) But can I spend more points and get a guaranteed room with Whirlpool appliances now??? (*whispers are heard*) Oh, darn, I guess I'll just have to make do with these old appliances. Maybe I could bribe the front desk manager to let me have a room with Whirlpool appliances. What if I find value in having those appliances?? I WANT THEM AND I'LL PAY FOR THEM! Money talks, and my credit card backs it up, baby!!! And once you're inside the MAGICAL!!! Disney bubble, who wants to hassle with that sort of thing? I need to know more about what FastPasses I booked 2 months ago and what dining reservations I booked 6 months ago. No time for that here-and-now stuff. (sarc=off)

Maytag is owned by Whirlpool.

Whatcha mean? After riding Sum of All Thrills before it closed, I absolutely went out to buy a military-grade radar system and some Tomahawk missiles.

Because its important... What we need to know is that these appliances are only in Select Villas.. Which begs, when I book and ask for a villa that has whirlpool appliances, will they be able to confirm it in my reservation... hate to show up and there is Maytags staring at me.. I just hope this doesn't create a waiting list for select villas...

But do your rentals bring in $500-$1500.00 per night?

larryzNov 05, 2018

Oh, well then... never mind.

janoimagineNov 05, 2018

Correct ... Jenn-Air is whirlpools luxury line ... I should have remebered that ... we have a Jenn Air kitchen. Im speaking only in terms of Disney World.

larryzNov 05, 2018

Not if you look at them as an entertainment company, and not just a movie studio(s)/TV network(s)/theme park(s) company.

wdwmagicNov 05, 2018

Jenn-Air is a Whirlpool Brand, so we may well see Jenn-Air or KitchenAid as the appliances used in Food and Wine. For the DVC units, I'd probably expect Whirpool, but you never know.
