Grand Floridian Resort's Beach Pool and Beaches Pool Bar scheduled for lengthy refurbishment later this year

The Beach Pool at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort is set for a lengthy refurbishment later this year.

Both the Beach Pool and the Beaches Pool Bar & Grill will closed for refurbishment on November 20 2017 through to February 25 2018, with a planned reopening to guests on February 26 2018.

The recently refurbished Courtyard Pool will remain open during that time, along with the Courtyard Pool Bar.

Also remaining open will be the Beach Pool water play area.

Any additional info as to the extent of the rehab? Is it just fixing cracks as stated above or are they doing anything more substantial?

last time i knew, just fixing cracks at bottom of the pool (did my cp here) and probably regular maintenance, so no expanding!

We are arriving from Uk mid April and was hoping it would be completed, anyone have any idea how long it will take to complete.

Was just there this past weekend and the pool and bar were still open. One day there were a bunch of construction guys going over blueprints so it looks like they were starting to plan things out.

Any additional word on what they are doing? Are they enlarging it? Just there at the end of August and it seamed as crowded as the wave pool at typhoon lagoon
