The Electric Umbrella will have its final day of operation on February 15 2020 as the center of Future World closes.

Beginning February 16, Electric Umbrella will be closed, along with Pin Central and the surrounding merchandise carts.

Guests will be directed to use the newly created walkways on each side of Spaceship earth, with the right hand-side leading to The Seas, The Land and Imagination!, and the left-side walkway between Guest Relations and Gateway Gifts leading to Mission: Space and Mouse Gear.

With the closure of Electric Umbrella, Sunshine Seasons will offer burgers, the Epcot Experience will serve chicken nuggets and salads, and the Taste Track kiosk will offer burgers and fries near to Test Track.

A new quick serve location will eventually be built in approximately the same area as Electric Umbrella as part of the redevelopment of the center of the park.

I don't know what would looked better what we have right now or half a cut of the old innoventions building. We just know where Journey of Water that side of Innoventions would go no matter what.

Flex space looks weird to me, those polls look like communicore hall that it wished to be.. I would of assume there'd be a covering covered roof but no and those polls look so high.. wonder what flex space means and what is the center even for..

and the pressure washers need to avoid the fragile lights in the floor

Pressure washing will remove The rust and sunscreen stains. But the HAVE to plant trees to hide that black wall. It looks really bad IMHO

They mustve scared off the pressure washers, all of them are scared of pressure washing the new fragile part of the park 🙃

Eh. You get stains on all types of floor from potted plant pots. This just needs light scouring like a cast iron skillet. Maybe they're pressure-washer-shy at the moment.

Time to call Southern-Magnolias-R-Us again!

As to the blank wall of Communicore Hall, one would think that since it's already in cast previews, they're pretty much done, but adding some trees wouldn't be a tall order. It's even worse looking in person.

I can agree with the criticism of this. While I overall actually like World Celebration, I'm disappointed see all these issues so early on. Even more disappointed to see nothing being done about it.

They almost certainly would not have demolished the old Innoventions building if they weren't already in the middle of doing so when the pandemic hit and their plans changed. They tore it down to build the Festival Center that was cancelled; they weren't planning on rebuilding something similar.
