The beautiful new Harambe Market opened this morning at Disney's Animal Kingdom, bringing a new quick service dining option to the park, and a stunningly detailed environment.
Following on from last year's opening of the new Harambe Theatre District - home of the Festival of the Lion King, the new Harambe Market follows through with the same incredible attention to detail and authenticity. The entire area is just so rich with craftsmanship and is perhaps the best looking area in all of Africa. Imagineering has once again shown its outstanding ability to produce rich and detailed environments.
Harambe Market is located behind the Mobasa Marketplace, and provides a new walkway from the area near to Kilimanjaro Safari to the Asia pathway - which should go a long way to helping reduce congestion through the center of Harambe.
The Harambe Marketplace consists of four walk-up windows offering a variety of African inspired dishes. There is seating for around 500 guests, most under some kind of cover, but none with air conditioning. Menu items includes Spice Rubbed Karubi Ribs, Beef Kabob Flatbread, Griled Chicken Skewers and African Milk Tarts. Pricing is around $10 for an entree. You can view all the menus in our photo gallery.
We've got a full video walkthrough of the area below, and be sure to check out the photo gallery for a look at some of the details.
We'll have a closer look at the food in an upcoming article.
