Disney's Blizzard Beach reopens today, May 21, 2025, joining Typhoon Lagoon to give Walt Disney World guests access to both water parks for the first time since 2019.

With Blizzard Beach now back in operation after a brief refurbishment closure, Disney World enters its peak summer season with all six parks-four theme parks and two water parks-open at once. Both water parks will be available through September 7, 2025.

What to Know

  • Blizzard Beach operating hours: 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
  • Typhoon Lagoon operating hours: 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
  • Resort guest check-in day water park admission: Now valid at either water park

This expanded summer schedule is expected to help spread out crowds and give guests more flexibility during the busy season. Guests can choose between Blizzard Beach's icy-themed slides and lazy river or Typhoon Lagoon's tropical wave pool and raft rides.

Complimentary water park admission benefit - who's eligible?

  • Guests must have a reservation at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel.
  • The benefit applies to check-in dates between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025.
  • Only registered guests listed on the hotel reservation are eligible.

How It Works

  • Admission is valid only on the check-in day and cannot be used on any other day.
  • Guests can visit either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, depending on which park is open.
  • Access is subject to availability, and water park schedules, including refurbishments and weather-related closures, may affect your visit. Check park calendars before your trip.

Limitations and Considerations

  • The benefit has no cash value and cannot be exchanged if the water park is closed on your check-in day.
  • As Disney water parks undergo routine refurbishments annually, only one park may be available during your stay.

They're stuck on a ship coming from China and won't be arriving.

I'm hearing people say that the refillable mugs have been discontinued and they've covered the self-service areas in Typhoon. But they're still selling Typhoon Tilly cups and it still says they're refillable. Is it just only Typhoon Tilly and only quick service refills you request instead of self-serve? Anyone know what's going on? Edit: Is this another case of their bad menu upkeep and they aren't actually selling Tilly despite it being on the mobile order app?

    Yes.

Will one of the water parks still be open in October I know every year in the past when we have been one of them has always been open Thankyou

Yeah - with all three of my kids now as "Disney adults" this offer does nothing for me Plus we basically just don't eat at any buffet/prefixe locations as not paying adult prices for them

They're charged for an alcoholic beverage. And not all teenagers devour food like a ravenous shark.

    JD80Apr 21, 2025

Alcohol is baked in to the price which is why I went up to 20.

10-20 is probably a stretch. 10-13, I'd agree. 14+ can devour some food.

    JD80Apr 21, 2025

Disney needs to do something for kids ages 10-20 for the dining plan. Right now it stinks.

With them already having return service at Values, they may be intending to scale this up throughout summer into a full resort/airline situation by Fall. Incoming flights is another process they're probably working on as well. That said, there's the chance it's fully implemented by holiday season, making it a 2025 offering. And if not, they'd rather make sure they have all their is dotted and ts crossed before promising anything.

    ToTBellHopApr 21, 2025

    Should’ve announced it for 2026.

In all fairness, they seem to be in the preliminary stages of bringing back the luggage handling.
