Curiously, in an email today noting happenings around Walt Disney World for Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month, Disney seems to be saying ¡Celebración Encanto! ends September 30.

That’s my thought too… the jammitors do a food and wine show don’t they? At least put them up there to make it feel like a festival! Are they doing anything inside communicore for the food and wine?

I don’t mind the Encanto show. What I do mind is that we were told Communicore stage/plaza would be for rotating seasonal acts to complement the ongoing festivals, and that… clearly is not the case.

Here's to hoping the Arepas find a forever home in Tropical Americas ☹️

I wish they’d use this space for, like, Festival-related music that actually fits the vibe of the hub. The America Gardens Theatre already exists for Broadway-adjacent stuff. Put something chill in CommuniCore.

This is great news for the tens of people that actually will watch it. So I guess this means that the festival celebration area won't be used for festivals?

I mean, I guess it's fine if it's keeping them from sticking Encanto in Italy or Soarin' or something, but this is such a weird thing for Epcot.

I don’t hate the show in a vacuum but I do hate the loud music destroying the vibe of the area 6 times a day.

Worth keeping this mess running as long as they're still serving up those Arepas at Festival Favorites. The cheese one was one of the best bites of my last trip.

I don't disagree. And I also think they should have special characters for each festival. Arts - Mickey and Friends in their old EPCOT center attire that's all spacey and colorful, Figment, etc. F&G - Spike, Orange Bird, etc. F&W - Remy and friends, Tiana in a chef outfit, etc. Holidays - Santa Goofy, Muppet Christmas Carol characters, etc.

Communicore Hall/Plaza would be a nice self-contained area for characters!

This may sound harsh, but you and I are simply not the target audience for this show. And that’s okay. The movie has huge fans, especially amongst young kids, so having an offering that might make a family want to visit EPCOT or have kids enjoy their day is important. With that said, this’ll be mighty awkward to have during Festival of the Holidays.

Looking at the press release for Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month, there is actually a lot of stuff celebrating that culture for what it is, in several ways, with no IP ties, in EPCOT and in other places around WDW.
