This morning saw the very first performance of "Disney Channel Rocks!" at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The show follows a similar format to the previous High School Musical show that it replaced, with a rolling stage that heads up Hollywood Blvd and stops in front of the Sorcerer Hat Stage for the 15 minute performance.
The new show is high energy, with a more edgy chorography than the show it replaced, and a great variety of Disney Channel music. This format should make updating the show much easier, as new tracks and routines can be slotted into the show as needed.
As always, the cast put 100% into the show and gave a great performance. On the basis of the first performance, the new show should prove to be a great success. Showtimes are currently 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 4:30 pm and 5:30pm daily at the Sorcerer Hat stage, with a runtime of around 15 minutes.
