More details are being revealed about the NBA plans to restart the season this summer at Walt Disney World.
It is being widely reported by various NBA sources that the teams will be based at three hotels depending on seeding:
- Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs : Bucks, Lakers, Raptors, Clippers, Celtics, Nuggets, Jazz, Heat
- Grand Floridian: Thunder, 76ers, Rockets, Pacers, Mavericks, Nets, Grizzlies, Magic
- Yacht Club: Blazers, Kings, Pelicans, Spurs, Suns, Wizards
Entertainment options for players will include pre-release movie screenings, DJ and comedian sets, boating, bowling, fishing, golf, and possible visits to the theme parks. Disney chefs will be preparing daily meals along with room service options.
At EPSN Wide World of Sports, the HP Field House will serve as the primary game court, with The Arena housing practice courts and a secondary game court, and the Visa Center housing more practice courts and a tertiary game court.
Gran Destino Tower and Coronado Springs convention center will serve as the main base of operations for the NBA, with the highest ranked teams located in Gran Destino due to them being expected to stay the longest.
Teams are expected to report to Disney World between in early July, with group workouts beginning July 9-11. The first games are planned for July 30. The seeding round, during which each team plays eight regular-season games, will conclude August 14.
