The Virtual Queue for EPCOT's new "Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind" is now visible in My Disney Experience ahead of the May 27 official opening.

The Cosmic Rewind Virtual Queue will first open at 7am, and again at 1pm. You will not need to be in the park at 7am to join the queue, but will need to be in EPCOT to join the queue at 1pm. It is likely that the Virtual Queue will reach capacity within seconds of opening.

Cosmic Rewind will also offer an Individual Purchase for Lightning Lane access, with pricing still to be announced.

Visit our "Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind" FAQ for more answers to common questions.

Full details of Cosmic Rewind's Virtual Queue are below.

How to enter the Cosmic Rewind Virtual Queue

Beginning at 7 a.m. on the day of their park reservation, guests with a valid ticket or pass and a Disney Park Pass Reservation for EPCOT will be able to check for an available boarding group via the My Disney Experience app and request access to the virtual queue. This can be done before you leave your Resort hotel or on your way to the park.

At 1 p.m., there will be another opportunity to join the virtual queue for anyone who wasn’t able to join a boarding group earlier in the day. Keep in mind, guests must be inside EPCOT to access this second virtual queue opportunity.

In order to give as many guests as possible the opportunity to save the galaxy, each guest can enter the virtual queue no more than once per day during regular park hours. Please note that joining the virtual queue does not guarantee the ability to experience Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

Virtual Queue during EPCOT Extended Evening Hours

Registered guests staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort or other select hotels will have an additional opportunity to request to join the virtual queue at 6pm on select dates during extended evening theme park hours. Guests with this benefit do not need to be in EPCOT to request to join at that time.

Guests will need valid admission and a theme park reservation for the same park on the same day to experience extended evening hours — or, guests may experience extended evening hours if they have a ticket or annual pass with the Park Hopper option and first enter the park where they made their reservation. For more information about this benefit, visit the Extended Evening Theme Park Hours page.

How to purchase individual Lightning Lane entry

Guests with valid park admission and a park reservation can purchase individual Lightning Lane entry in the My Disney Experience app via the Disney Genie service on the same day of their visit, subject to availability. Pricing is still to be announced.

Virtual queue and individual Lightning Lane entry are only accessible via the My Disney Experience app.

We came in through IG at about 8:10/8:15am. The line for GOTG was all the way to SSE when we joined it at 8:26am. At 8:30am the line started moving, reached the breezeway at 8:32am then reached the regular standby entrance to GOTG at about and finally getting on the ride at 9:20.

I think I saw one report, it seems like you need to be fine with the fact that there will probably be a couple hundred people in front of you by the time you get to the breezeway where they hold you (and honestly that seems like a good day). Still seems feasible compared to the wait times the rest of the day

What’s the rope drop looking like for Cosmic Rewind coming from International Gateway? Are you just at a natural disadvantage and behind everyone from the front gate?

I think this is especially true at EPCOT where most people prefer to be in the countries in the afternoon and evening.

Don't wait times usually peak around noon time? It's seems to be when the most people are in the park at once

Maybe Connections runoff or lunch reservation arrival spike? Would be interesting to see if it’s something that just happens more globally at the park.

I wonder why it has those random spikes mid-day. Seems like it's happened all week, where the wait time skyrockets around noon before going back down.

These shows those attractions, but not on the same chart. https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/walt-disney-world-ride-wait-times-%E2%80%93-morning-afternoon-evening-stats.985625/post-11157412

Would adding FOP and/or ROTR make it too busy? I feel like guardians compares closer to those 2 as it is the clear premiere attraction in a non-MK park. (Even though SDD amazingly has almost identical wait times to ROTR)

Here are the 10 am to 1pm wait times
