EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth will temporarily close for routine refurbishment starting August 25, 2025.
The attraction is expected to reopen later this year, though Disney has not yet provided a specific return date. The planned work is described as standard maintenance, with no major changes to the ride experience announced at this time. However, unofficial sources suggest that we may see upgrades to the video display screens in the vehicles, and new projection systems.
Spaceship Earth remains a centerpiece of EPCOT, taking guests on a journey through the history of human communication inside the park’s signature geodesic sphere. The upcoming downtime follows similar short-term closures in past years used to refresh lighting, ride systems, and show scenes.
