Stitch's Great Escape to operate next week

Stitch's Great Escape will be open for four days next week.

The ride, which now operates only seasonally, will open on March 13 through to March 17. Operating hours are 10am to 6pm.

Last Wish was incredible, quite possibly their best film ever! I heard Ruby Gilman was pretty mediocre though.

DreamWorks really knocked it out of the park with The Last Wish and The Wild Robot, and I’m pretty sure those were both done by a lot of the same people given the art styles are very similar. Their other movies recently though haven’t been great, and Shrek 5’s possibly plot leak looks really bad. We need more from the Last Wish and Wild Robot team(s)!

I second this. I watched this film for the first time recently and if someone turned on this movie for me without telling me who made it I would have guessed Pixar. That’s how good it is.

Not to be pedantic, but The Wild Robot isn’t an original film - it’s based on a (lovely) book by Peter Brown.

maybe you need to ride it again... there is a good mix of physical and screens...throughout... It is just the lack of any sort of storyline that would make it feel like you have been on a journey...

I genuinely forgot that was a sci-fi movie. It's fantastic, one of my favorite animated movies in recent years, but even though the main character is a robot my brain sees the wilderness setting and doesn't think of sci-fi, lol. Chris Sanders was behind that one, and it's interesting that out of the few sci-fi originals that were successful, he was behind two of them.

They could definitely have some AAs of sleeping animals or something -- but think that would potentially push the ride to a D ticket and it was always intended as a C. I think the plants etc. in front of the screens are what make them work. If it was just screens, it would be terrible, but since they're integrated into the physical sets and scattered around they work nicely. That's why I think it might be the best use on any Disney attraction -- most Disney rides that use screens have literally everything on the screen in front of you with no physical aspects whatsoever, and it's just impossible to feel transported/immersed (at least for me). In some ways the Shaman AA is bad for the ride. Obviously it's incredibly impressive (it's probably the best AA currently at WDW), but it's E ticket level in a C ticket ride, and by putting it at the very end it kind of throws everything off.

I think NRJ looks good enough...really, to me doesn't feel at all like a hallway with screens...It is quite beautiful... The problem is in the show writing... it needs to feel like there is a story there instead of an "ooh sparkly glow-y and pretty" The one animatronic is not enough to be the Wow moment for the finale... Now if she was sitting at the base of a 40' tall Tree Of Life replica from the movie in a giant Finale room, I think it would feel like you have made the Pilgrimage to the tree of life for a celebration...not just encountered one Navi in the woods. Since there are no drops or physical thrills, there needs to be a thrilling moment which should have been a grand finale moment.
