Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom is experiencing extended downtime today, July 16, 2024.

The Frontierland attraction did not open with the rest of the park at 9 am and was yet to call a boarding group as of 1 pm. The 1 pm virtual queue did open for a couple of seconds, and the first boarding groups of the day were called around 1:20 pm.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure has experienced frequent closures during the previews and its early weeks of regular operations.

While Disney does not reveal specific details when an attraction goes down for technical reasons, it is widely thought that Tiana's Bayou Adventure is suffering from issues relating to new sensors that monitor the position of logs passing through the ride path.

That huge plateau gets to what I was asking about with "Temporarily Closed" messages. What is the difference between super-long plateaus and plateaus which lead to gaps? Perhaps the super-long plateau means the ride stopped calling BGs but continued serving LLs (and previous BGs?), and gaps mean the ride actually shut down, but I really don't know.

Any stoppage >15 mins I mark as notable. Disney does put a temporarily close message once the ride has been down for at least an hour, basically once the BG call window resets.

Does your data source get "Temporarily closed" messages? Also, looking at the BG graph at https://www.thrill-data.com/waits/attraction/magic-kingdom/tianasbayouadventure/2024/08/23, the progression races faster than normal to 2:45, plateaus until about 4, then climbs extremely swiftly. Not sure what that means. It's not weather related, in any event.
