Toy Story Mania at Disney's Hollywood Studios is scheduled to be closed for a week to allow work to progress on the main entrance reconfiguration.

The closure begins June 11 through to June 18, with a reopening to guests on June 19 2018. When it reopens, the entrance will remain in Pixar Place until it permanently moves to Toy Story Land on June 30 2018.

Toy Story Mania will also return to full capacity on May 20 2018, with all three tracks becoming available following queue reconfiguration work. FastPass+ reservations should be available from as early as today for rides beginning May 20.

I noticed that about two weeks ago as well. Full switchbacks outside, including the cross-path-choreography, but once we were let in the building all of the switchbacks were open and we walked straight through. Seemed odd. Something that also seemed odd is the new Resort-wide policy of letting an entire Fastpass+ line dwindle, then letting in two pairs of standby visitors, then repeating the process, but I digress...

There was a delayed opening, and cast members warned that the ride could close at any moment. They had everyone being moved around like cattle out in Pixar Place, but the indoor queue was nearly empty. The posted 75 minute wait time ended up being around 15.

Yes it was a delayed opening this morning.

It’s tuesday the 19th and shows a 45 minute wait. Guess it’s open.

Thank you, I some how missed that

We were there Thur and Sat. Cast member at the attraction confirmed to me it was still planned to be open Tuesday the 19th for what it's worth.

It is scheduled to reopen before the land opens.

It sounds really odd that they would reopen it before the land opens so maybe it won't be reopening but that is just my opinion.

This is re-opening on the first day of my trip this week. Are FP and all tracks going to be back up? Or will it still be standby only with reduced capacity?

    djkidkazJun 18, 2018

Why wouldn’t they just wait until a week before TSL opens and then do this? Or just keep it closed until June 30th and not have to worry about reopening and making the queue have to work for like another week. Just seems like odd timing to me.

We have nothing to lose so we gave it a polite shot... ...makes sense, but the answer was no. Just politely pointed out that now it seems there are no rides for our kiddos in that park the week we'll be there. We'd love to catch the shows but not sure it's worth the whole day without a park hopper option. They replied that they couldn't do a single day park hopper option for our base tickets but said if we'd like to pay to upgrade for a park hopper option for our entire week we could do so. Um, I appreciate the "up-sale" but no thanks.

Maybe when they're reconfiguring the queue they can reinstall Mr. Potato Head. *fingers crossed*

Totally agree for those going in June during that ride closure week. You didn't know the ride would be closed when you booked your tickets and there's was no indication it would be full on closed (unless you cruise these boards where people suspected it could happen but THEY don't need to know that). It would be reasonable for Disney to try and do a little something to help compensate and a park hopper add on for that day (if you don't already have it) would be pretty easy. Or even Park Hopper Plus so you could hit up a water park maybe.

    Don't miss out!
