Terralina Crafted Italian is now open in The Landing at Disney Springs, and ahead of our full review, we wanted to share a first look inside.

Located long the shores of Lake Buena Vista in the former Portobello building, Terralina Crafted Italian was inspired by the design and lifestyle of Northern Italy's famous lakes like Lake Como, set far away from city life and surrounded by picturesque villages.

Since the days of Portobello, a brand new outdoor bar has been added at the front of the restaurant, serving a variety of Italian wines and cocktails.

Inside, you will find all new decor throughout, and like all of the new additions at Disney Springs, it looks fantastic. Lots of details throughout, such as ceilings decorated with doors, elaborate light fixtures, and even a fireplace in the lobby.

Rather than one large main dining room, Terralina is broken up into several small dining spaces, which certainly adds a more intimate feel and should help control the noise levels.

Waterside seating is also available on the outdoor veranda alongside the lake, which is likely to become a popular spot in the cooler months.

At yesterday's media preview, we sampled a variety of dishes that will make up the extensive Terralina Crafted Italian menu.

Everything we tasted was very good, with the Antipasti particularly standing out, but we will back for a full review during regular dining hours.

Terralina Crafted Italian will be open for lunch and dinner, from 11:30am. Reservations are available from July 30 2018 via Disney.com. The restaurant will also accept reservations at OpenTable.com.

PS I have formally dubbed this restaurant ‘Terriblina’ - which I will continue to call it until there is proof they have gotten better. Way way better. 🙂

I'm thinking I might want to rethink the reservation I made for October.

That's the kind of food you don't eat, but instead hand down from generation to generation.

I quote from the linked article, " Lots of details throughout, such as ceilings decorated with doors " Say what?

Yes they could have gone for the trifecta - handcrafted, artisanal and heirloom quality and you would have had all the warning signs.🙂

But, but ...., it's "crafted". It says so right in the name. If only it was artisanal, then maybe it would have had a chance.

Typical Italian food at Disney... Please no more Italian places...

Just ate there last night. Overall a very uneven experience. They are obviously still working out the kinks - and it shows. Service was very slow. Wait staff not very familiar with the menu. Unfortunately - the problem with the dishes we tried goes deeper than the fact that they have only been open ten days. The food just wasn’t very good or creative. For a restaurant that has ambitions to be a lot more than an Olive Garden, the food was pedestrian. This is not being cooked by actual chefs, but rather formula recipes being followed by inexperienced cooks. The space is very nice. The manager was accommodating taking one of the items off the bill - a truly terrible ribeye ($44!) and listened to our comments. We will try it again in a future visit.

Already made my reservation for our trip in October before our DCL cruise.

Thanks for the quick review and photos. I think it looks really nice. I’m looking forward to the full review. There are so many facets to Italian food. In our area we tend to get used to the chain restaurants and dumbed down local places. I’m glad to see different regions of Italy represented throughout WDW. It’s a totally different cuisine in each region, even each city and it’s nice to see those represented. I’ll definately be giving this a try.

More Italian restaurants? Some one has been listening to me.please no fish restaurants but two or three more Italian restaurants would be just great and not over the top to me any way. I may never leave the springs ever”
