Target has opened its doors today at the Disney master-planned Flamingo Crossings just outside the Walt Disney World gateway on Western Way.
The store is a mini-version of the Super Target style store, and it covers all of the main shopping needs, including fresh produce, frozen foods, grocery items, CVS pharmacy, clothing, household goods, and a dedicated beer, wine and spirits area. Think of it is offering the best sellers from a full sized Super Target store.
The new Target at Flamingo Crossings is a very convenient addition for anyone staying in the new hotels in the area, and for the recently opened College Program housing.
For guests staying on Walt Disney World property, this new Target is likely to be the closest grocery store. It is on the western side of property, closest to Disney's Coronado Springs, which is about a 5 minute drive away.
Being so close to Disney and part of the Disney planned Flamingo Crossings, there is a section in the store dedicated to Disney. You'll find Disney plush, clothing and accessories.
Alcohol offerings include a range of wine, beer and spirits in a dedicated space with its own entrance off the lobby.
The store also features Target's drive up curbside ordering with 6 spaces.
Target is the second store to open in Flamingo Crossing after Walgreens. Upcoming openings include Five Guys and Five Below.
Joining the line-up later will be PDQ, Ben & Jerry's, Dunkin', Wendy's, Domino's, Ellie Lou's Brews & BBQ, Firehouse Subs, Persimmon Hollow Brewing Co., Pieology Pizzeria, Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ and a UPS Store.
