Direct bus service to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will be returning next week.

Beginning March 17 2019, busses heading to the water parks will display "Typhoon Lagoon" or "Blizzard Beach." Currently, if you want to get to Typhoon Lagoon, you have to board a bus to Disney Springs and then transfer to a Typhoon Lagoon bus.

Although the service will be direct to the water park, some routes may stop at other resorts prior to the water park.

  • All-Star Sports, All-Star Music, All-Star Movies
  • Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian
  • Pop Century, Art of Animation
  • Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club, Beach Club, BoardWalk
  • Jambo House, Kidani Village
  • Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge

At some resorts, boarding for the water parks will be at specific bus stops.

  • Caribbean Beach - Old Port Royale
  • Coronado Springs - El Centro/Stop #1
  • Old Key West - Hospitality House
  • Port Orleans - South bus depot
  • Saratoga Springs - The Springs bus stop

If you need to get to a water park from on the main parks, you will need to go to a resort hotel and then board the water park bus.

Yes I believe so!

I presume this service is operational until the water park closes. I remember getting direct bus there but having to go via Disney Springs on the return journey so now this should be both journeys ? I hope it does as it was a real downer having to change on the way home.

The internal bus was what I was referring to.

It’s not quite that simple. Last month, literally every bus I boarded at POFQ went directly to the park. We never once did the POR loop. But there was an internal shuttle that stopped by sporadically.

There’s an internal shuttle.

Or they could board another bus to get there.

For Port Orleans, does this mean guests at French Quarter will have to walk up to the main stop at Riverside? I can’t imagine guests being very happy to do that (not that the walk is far)..

I'm so glad they're bringing this back! We've complained about this for the past few years since they've required the transfer. I'm glad finally someone made the right decision to bring back direct service.

Good to know, I was unaware of the having to transfer in order to get to the water parks. Seems like this is a good change

So this is direct to water parks (within the limits in the article)? We’re not going back to every AK bus also going to BB? That was ridiculous when 95% of the bus wasn’t going to BB anyway.

Thanks!
