The resort, which opened in 1971, captures South Pacific island flair with lush landscaping, colorful birds and flowers, waterfalls and Polynesian dancers. A tropical interior, complete with bamboo-style furnishings, welcomes guests to this monorail resort. A family-fun swimming pool features a giant volcano and a water slide.

Bus: The bus stop is located in front of the resort and to the left after exiting the Great Ceremonial House.
Monorail: The resort monorail is located in front of the resort with service to the Grand Floridian Resort, Magic Kingdom, Contemporary Resort, and Transportation and Ticket Center (transfer here for the Epcot monorail).
Water Taxi: provides service to the Grand Floridian Resort and Magic Kingdom. Located in the back of the resort on the Seven Seas Lagoon near the volcano pool.
