The large crane has returned to Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom, and crews have been actively reinstalling the planets and ride system for Astro Orbiter over the past few weeks.
While significant progress is visible, Disney has not yet announced a reopening date for the ride. As of now, the official Disney World calendar lists Astro Orbiter as closed through the end of July 2025 — the latest date currently available on the published operating hours.
Once the reassembly is complete, expect extensive ride system testing to place before the attraction opens to guests. The PeopleMover is operating as normal during the refurbishment.
