News and information on the upcoming AVATAR land at Disney's Animal Kingdom is rare to say the least, but a brief tidbit comes to us this week from a well placed source - the Disney CEO Bob Iger.
Speaking to Variety co-editor-in-chief Claudia Eller at a Dealmakers Breakfast earlier this week, Iger said, "It felt so real, so lifelike. There’s never been anything like it."
Iger was referring to taking a test ride onboard one of the flying banshees that will take guests on a trip through Pandora, in a next generation Soarin' type ride.
AVATAR has been in development for over 2 years, and construction is well underway, with vertical construction in progress after months of site preparation.
The new land at Disney's Animal Kingdom will be opening in 2017.
