James Cameron has announced at CinemaCon that there will be a fifth Avatar movie.
The Avatar creator had already committed to three sequels, with the first due in 2018. The latest addition puts the release schedule as 2018, 2020, 2022, 2023.
Cameron said: "We have decided to embark on a truly massive cinematic process. I've been working the last couple of years with a team of four top screenwriters to design the world of Avatar going forward: The characters, the creatures, the environment, the new cultures. So far, the art I'm seeing, is in pure imagination, really far beyond the first film. It's going to be a true epic saga."
Pandora - The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom is planned to open in early 2017 featuring an E-ticket class flight simulator -AVATAR Flight of Passage, and a D-ticket class boat ride - Na'vi River Journey.
