Disney has today shared images of the bioluminescent flora that will make up the plant life in Pandora - The World of AVATAR.
The land will take on new life after-dark, with the landscape glowing and responding to touch. Even the ground you walk on will glow beneath your feet.
“We want the world of Pandora to be believable,” said Lightstorm Entertainment film producer Jon Landau. “When visitors come to Pandora they’ll experience and they’ll believe — and they’ll look at the world a little bit differently.”
Disney has not yet set an opening date for the land beyond the general 2017 timeframe. There will be two attractions in the new 12 acre land, AVATAR Flight of Passage and the Na’vi River Journey.
