Blizzard Beach Closure Extended as Orlando Faces Continued Cold Snap

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park will remain closed longer than originally expected due to continued cold weather in Central Florida. The water park, which has been closed for the past several days, is now scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, January 24, with operating hours from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Extended Closure Details

  • Closed Through: Thursday, January 23, 2025
  • Reopening Date: Wednesday, January 24, 2025
  • Hours of Operation on January 24: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Temperatures in the Orlando area have been unusually low, with wind chills dipping into the mid-20s in recent mornings. While conditions are expected to improve slightly in the coming days, Disney has opted to keep Blizzard Beach closed until temperatures improve.

    Blizzard Beach has reached a phased closure and is only accepting WDW resort guests at this time. The parking lot is also at capacity and guests are being redirected to park at DAK.
