Disney Vacation Club (DVC) has revealed the purpose of the recent construction at EPCOT’s Canada Pavilion. The project will bring the first in-park Welcome Home Center to Walt Disney World, set to open this spring.

Named Château de Voyage, the new space will serve as a dedicated location for guests to learn about DVC Membership while exploring a model room from the recently opened Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.

Located in the Canada Pavilion’s Hotel du Canada building, this marks the first time DVC has introduced a Welcome Home Center inside a Walt Disney World theme park. The space aims to provide prospective members with a convenient opportunity to learn more about DVC while touring a detailed room model.

Construction at the pavilion had previously fueled speculation about various possibilities, including a bar, lounge, or exhibit. More details about Château de Voyage are expected to be shared as the spring opening approaches.

A similar Welcome Home Center opened at Disney Springs last year, called Gateway to Discovery.

I don't mean to be rude to you, so I apologize if it comes off that way, but were the stairs so off-putting? I just don't understand how a flight of (not steep) stairs could keep so many people from exploring a nice, themed area. In a theme park. So, maple syrup would've lured you up the stairs? 😉😁✌

I would be up for that. With a side of Maple Popcorn on the side, sure! 🙂 -

Do we think this is the last DVC incursion into Epcot (e.g. in park hotel)?

Just another one of "Disney's best kept secret!" ! :( Such a tacky addition to the Canada space. 'Oh, Canada', indeed.

If they could not get Guests to climb the stairs to visit a gift shop before, what makes them think that Guests will now climb stairs to visit a DVC advertisement space..? I mean, seriously. Is anyone within the Company honestly thinking this through…? This is a complete waste of an area that could have been used for something better and more befitting to the Pavillion it is located in. -

I don't think we want to know the answer to that question, honestly. o_O

They’ll save that for a dip in attendance to boost the books. Oh…

They could charge admission into the showroom. Just sayin’ They could apply the amount toward your purchase as kind of an "incentive" to buy.

That was my thought. There are a lot of Canadian food options that could make for a really lovely lounge. And, it could have easily been sponsored by DVC. And I actually would have really applauded that vs. hated what they did here. Given the role of Disney food and social media, especially at Epcot, a couple of "must try" options could have easily put this on the map and made it an "EPCOT Must Do". Les Halles is nearly impossible to find, yet it's a very busy spot.

I said this yesterday a maple themed shop would have been great. I had a maple frosted donut this morning made with maple syrup and it was the most delicious donut I have had in a long time!
