Disney has unveiled the new attraction poster for the reimagined Country Bear Musical Jamboree at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.

Drawing inspiration from the original 1971 Country Bear Jamboree LP cover, the new poster pays homage to the classic while celebrating the refreshed show.

The new poster can be found on display under the train station on Main Street, USA, on the left side as you enter Magic Kingdom.

Dang. Poor Trixie. Though I had no clue Gomer’s wasn’t there before the new show!

It's not. Gomer's new portrait is where Trixie was

Also, just realized- one month exactly from today I’ll finally be seeing the new show for the first time! I’m gonna be in Orlando for WDW.NT’s Muppet event (and to see MuppetVision one last time of course) and I figured there’d be no better time to see it! (Warning: pure yapping below) The only negative part of this trip is that my wife isn’t coming with me (she’s pregnant and doesn’t want to be in Orlando in June, understandably), and I FINALLY got her to come around to the bears. When we first went to Disney together in 2018 she was terrified of Wendell when we saw him outside and she thought the show was creepy (I loved it despite barely being able to hear anything- I saw it as a kid but forgot it so that viewing was basically another first time), and when we went with my family in 2023 she (and my family) vetoed my request to go see them. But now my wife actually likes them and Wendell is her favorite, lmao. She even spent an afternoon with her grandpa showing him songs from the original (the original recordings, not the shows) because she likes them so much. Probably helped that I haven’t shut up about them for the last 7 years of our 10 years together! She’s done the same thing to me with Greek mythology and true crime, so it’s even at least lmao.

Asking here because I can’t find any mention online- is Trixie’s original Marc Davis painting still on display in the lobby? I haven’t seen it in any POVs, and I just thought that they could’ve removed it due to her having a glass of wine- which seems weird given Big Al still has his moonshine jug that’s labeled “XXX”- making it unmistakably alcohol. If it is gone, I hope it’s being well preserved. Would much rather have Trixie up on the walls instead of the rejected concept art bears.

I still can’t believe Henry doesn’t have a costume as the second most recognizable bear.

Yeah, and Epcot will be EPCOT CENTER to me.

Including the design process, testing, fabrication, and labour (especially labour)? Several hundred thousand, is most likely. Some properties (Lion Guard I know for a fact, but there are others) have even had characters designed and tested but never brought out for guests... I'd expect that this design probably cost well north of $200k all in, assuming they didn't just modify an existing costume. One of the rare things I don't have particularly hard numbers on, unfortunately. Of course copies are a fraction of that.

I find Liver Lips even more funny these days than it was before with all of the bizarre lip augmentation that you can find in the media.

He will always be Liver Lips to me.

Knowing them they would be TDL M&G's only...We don't even have a new version of Orange Bird out yet....

Do we know how much it costs Disney to make a costume? Surely it can't be that expensive. I wonder if they'd ever pony up some money to finally give Henry a walk-around costume (other than the one from Disney on Parade in the 70s), or for Trixie since they've been using her a lot in the marketing for the show lately? I know four bears is a lot already, but at least have the main character as a meet-and-greet!

Coo - I guess we will take these little victories when we can.

They definitely repainted his face! Looks like his eyelashes are shorter and his eyebrows are larger, too.
