VIDEO - Walt Disney Imagineers on the story behind Disney Springs

The official Disney Parks Blog today released a new video giving a new glimpse of Disney Springs and more information about the new unifying backstory.

    Actually, expanding World of disney IS happening. They announced it when they announced Disney Springs way back in March 2013.

    The model is located in a back room upstairs in Splitsville and is not available to be seen by the general public.

    Why not? Whats 75 more new stores selling all the same stuff? It sounds exactly like something Disney would do. I was just saying to my wife "you know, I wish we had more places to buy that same Disney mug!" :confused:

    Here is a video of it from when Disney Springs was first announced. I don't think the model is available to be viewed by the public.

    I heard a rumor that somewhere there is a really cool model of what Disney Springs will look like once completed. What I heard is that the model uses HD projections (like on the castle) to come alive. Does anyone know how we can get a look?

    I was told by a reliable source that Disney Springs has a lot of leases signed and they're waiting to finalize two or three more and then will make the announcement. Many are vendors not currently located in this part of the country. Whether any of this is true, remains to be seen.

    There were short term leases signed because they new all the upheaval that was coming. This project has the logistics of DCA 2.0. And it should be examined with that in mind. IMO.
