Santa Claus is bringing festive cheer to Disney Springs this holiday season with an all-new meet-and-greet experience at the former Star Wars Trading Post, set to debut in November 2024 at Walt Disney World.

The Star Wars Trading Post has officially closed to make way for the transformation, where guests will be able to meet Santa Claus in a cozy, Christmas-themed setting. Expect festive décor and PhotoPass photographers to be on hand to capture those holiday pictures. Star Wars Galactic Outpost located on the West Side continues to be available for Star Wars merchandise.

Due to its popularity, a virtual queue will likely be available through the My Disney Experience app to help manage wait times.

Stay tuned for the official opening date and schedule.

I didn’t see anything I wanted badly enough to change my mind about skipping the party…but I do think my kids will enjoy the s’mores cake enough to book a reservation at the Plaza.

Sorry, but any slice of cake less than $25 is obviously not worth it.

You get access to the food; that's the sweetening the deal. You have to pay for your food at Disney anyway, now you have these special options that ideally will taste very good and look nice. You don't have to personally find it appealing, but that's the idea. It's really not different from the specialty food for the day guests; all park tickets are expensive, but no one is buying the tickets FOR the specialty snack, it's an extra thing to enjoy while you're there. People like variety and seasonal foods. That said, don't get me wrong; I don't go to the parties, I don't think they're worth it (especially buying both a day and party ticket for the same day, which is just nuts), and I absolutely think that their seasonal food selection is getting worse (this Halloween sucked) and the focus on the parties is probably at least partially to blame.

I agree with you... if only it wasn't behind a $159+ paywall. There are many of the party-only items that I bet would be big sellers if they were available to the unwashed masses. It shouldn't be that difficult to add a menu item or two at each location for 2 months.

Call me crazy but I don't think food is really the point of the Christmas Party........

"Buy a $169 ticket to our Christmas Party! Then, spend another $100 on food!!!" Not really what "sweeten the deal" means, but I digress.

Epcot is now fully available for tickets, resort guests, and AP Holders on 12/31. MK remains unavailable for tickets and resort guests on 12/31 at this time.

Jollywood menu seems much more imaginative and exciting, but there definitely seem to be some gems on here. The baked brie flatbread sounds delightful!
