We will have a full roundup of last night's fantastic Disney Parks Blog meet at the Magic Kingdom later today, but in the meantime,
here is a video with the very entertaining Jason Surrell from Walt Disney Imagineering. Jason worked on the new Haunted Mansion revisions in 2007 and 2011, and gave some insight into some of the work that took place and also answered some guest questions. Jason also addressed the very frequently discussed possibility of the Holiday overlay coming to the Magic Kingdom's mansion. His answer was that Disneyland has a 70% local visitor base, who enjoy seeing the modified version each year, while Walt Disney World has a 70% international visitor base, who expect to see the original version on their visit. Therefore it is not in the plans for Walt Disney World - but never say never.
