Following yesterday's permanent closure of Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat, Disney has released an updated version of the Magic Kingdom digital map, showing the latest changes to the park’s layout.
Tom Sawyer Island and Liberty Square Riverboat Removed
The most notable update is the complete removal of Tom Sawyer Island from the map. The area that once displayed bridges, trails, and Fort Langhorn now appears as a blank green landscape.
The Liberty Square Riverboat and its familiar path around the Rivers of America have also been removed from the map.
Walt Disney World Railroad Route Updated
In addition to the removals, the map now reflects the temporary route adjustment for the Walt Disney World Railroad. The full loop around the park is no longer shown. Instead, the map displays a shortened route, operating only between Main Street, U.S.A. Station and Fantasyland Station.
What’s Next
These changes to the digital map come the day after both classic attractions closed permanently to make way for Magic Kingdom’s upcoming Cars-themed and Disney Villains lands. Construction activity, including land clearing and utility work, is already underway backstage.
