Mariachi Cobre Present the Story of 'Coco'
Posted: Thursday September 5, 2024 9:40am ET by WDWMAGIC Staff

As part of the festivities for Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, from September 15 through October 15, 2024, Mariachi Cobre will be taking to the new stage at CommuniCore Plaza in EPCOT.

Disney says that a familiar amigo will make a surprise appearance during Mariachi Cobre's performances. We expect this show to be similar to the 'Mariachi Cobre Presents the Story of Coco' performed at the Mexico pavilion in 2019. In that 20-minute show, Mariachi Cobre was joined by a pair of Folklórico dancers to tell the tale of Miguel Rivera, his love of music, and his journey to find what matters most – his family. The dancers performed to the film's music, and Miguel himself appeared in the form of a whimsical, hand-crafted puppet.

Showtimes for the new Mariachi Cobre show at Communicore Plaza are to be announced.

At least they won’t be in World Showcase plaza with their stage blocking views of Luminous this year.

I like this move - Mariachi is one of the few opening day experiences left - glad to see them get some extra attention!

Love the Mariachi Band, but the CommuniCore location is awful. The acoustics and amplified sound system just drown everything out in the entire spine. Imagine walking through Journey of Water or trying to experience one of the lighting shows in the center and hearing nothing but Encanto songs blasting. Awful experience.
