An exterior refurbishment project is currently in progress at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World, focusing on the Bora Bora Bungalows.
Scaffolding has been installed around the over-water villas as crews begin repainting the exterior surfaces.
The Bora Bora Bungalows opened in 2015 and were introduced as part of a larger renovation of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. These over-water accommodations were the first of their kind at Walt Disney World and were designed to offer guests a unique stay with direct views of Seven Seas Lagoon and the Magic Kingdom. Each bungalow includes two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and private outdoor space, which includes plunge pools.
Guests staying at the Polynesian Village Resort may encounter the visible presence of scaffolding and crews during the refurbishment, but Disney has yet to indicate any impact on guest services or amenities as a result of the refurbishment.
