Disney has announced that the new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed tavern will open in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom in late 2025.

This immersive experience will expand the lore of the classic Walt Disney World attraction. Described as a haven for "pirate-kind, big and small," the tavern aims to welcome aspiring buccaneers from across the seven seas. Guests can look forward to raising a toast to the pirate life while surrounded by thematic elements inspired by the beloved ride.

More details about the tavern, including its menu and entertainment offerings, are expected to be revealed as construction progresses.

The Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge is currently being built in the former Pirates League makeover experience space at the exit to the ride.

Hoping this lounge took notes from the Haunted Mansion Parlor on the Disney Treasure.

Disney build anything new without ripping out a classic --nope --but they sure can build lounges you can sit in when there is nothing to do

I’ll take 2 and, let’s be honest, you’ll take 3. Wait till you see the Halloween Ghost Pirates mugs that they only sell at MNSSHP for $39.99. Non-alcoholic beverage included!

"Buy the EXCLUSIVE Pirate's Punch for $14.99, or experience it in a SPECIAL!!! Pirates-themed mug for ONLY $15 more!!!"

Don't forget the markup on the mugs......

So, basically a QS space with weak pre-made drinks designed to shuffle guests through at a high hourly rate?

HauntedPirate14 hours ago

Yep. I think Bob said something along the lines of they expect some spillover days from people booking Universal trips to increase attendance next year.

I can't imagine it will have more than a Pirate's Punch and George's Grog premix in themed souvenir mugs

I think Disney is just hoping Pirates/SSE/TT will be enough for you to add a day or 2 at disney that people weren't planning on.

"Honey, we could book a Universal trip next fall and see their new theme park or wait and book WDW and see the Pirates bar, Spaceship Earth bar, a parade, and whatever they're doing with Test Track. Which one should we book?" "DISNEY FOR SURE!!!!!!!1!!!"
