The former NBA Experience at Disney Springs will soon be home to a new limited time Star Wars virtual reality experience.

The Meta Quest Virtual Reality Experience featuring ILMxLAB's Star Wars: Tales from Galaxy's Edge will take place daily from May 2 through July 27 2022, 12pm to 10pm.

The complimentary preview will allow guests to try out the Quest 2 headsets and experience Batuu in 360 degree VR.

The NBA Experience has remained closed since Walt Disney World shutdown for the COVID-19 pandemic. Disney announced in August 2021 that it would not reopen. A long term replacement is still being developed.

Yeah, my misspellings show how much not a fan I am of Star Wars. So, I could care less...😏

I’ve seen multiple ads for this recently, during Hulu commercial breaks. Normally don’t pay attention to Hulu ads, and I had to see it a second time to figure out what was being advertised.

Such an odd size for the marquee.I guess they don't want you to know it's there...It's like the DVD Screensaver waiting to hit a corner..

Truth. The argument that people give for having to change EPCOT - that the "new" just isn't exciting any more - is so strange to me.

Zuck involved is a hard stop for me.

The whole thing is a publicity stunt for a Galaxy's Edge VR game Disney will start selling for the Meta Rift (or whatever they're calling it after they bought Oculus). I'm guessing they'll conveniently be selling the hardware & the game at some point in there

Believe it or not, it was still available until recently. There's one Cinemark movie theater in Dallas where they still had the Star Wars VR. It got closed due to covid, but they not only had the Star Wars Secrets of the Empire experience, they also had Wreck-it-Ralph: Ralph Breaks VR & where showcasing a trailer for The Avengers' Damage Control VR Experience, along with the things they had before like the Ghostbusters' VR Experience. The whole breakup with Disney in Orlando is weird

Ah! So swag for experiencing the commercial! That makes sense and also seems to clear up the question a few people had about who is paying who here. I wonder how many dish washes it would take to get that logo off... 😏

They are free!
