Sheriff Woody has arrived at Toy Story Land - in the form of a 20ft tall entrance marquee.

The entrance, just alongside the Walt Disney Presents attraction, features the Toy Story Land sign and Woody tipping his 7ft wide hat.

Toy Story Land opens at Walt Disney World on June 30 2018.

Here's hoping. It's long overdue. They've lost my confidence in them though. Still, WDP could be moved just about anywhere really. I haven't had much personal interest in it since they took out Walt's office.

yet.

Since they don't seem to want to demo the old Animation building, what if they instead moved WDP there and demoed the existing WDP building, allowing for TSL expansion? I'm curious how much TLM theater would be impacted by that. If it were me, I'd try to do something like Fyre Drill at Epic Universe. Basically a wet TSM. Also, toss in a spinner or something. It'd get DHS a ride with no height requirement, mostly at least, and a water ride all in one. It's also compact, so they could maybe utilize the old Pixar Place for a queue or something. That's just me armchairing though.

These days it’s more of a random collection of movie IP that Bob wanted crammed into a theme park. But I’m also not sure what you’re getting at. You want every land to have a movie directly associated with it?

"So odd to read but surprisingly true!"

Hollywood Studios, a movie park with lands that aren't in movies.

I hope they still care as much about sightlines as they did then. Things are changing so fast. But I’m optimistic that they do (at least much of the time, and depending on the project). I think two Slinky Dog attractions would confuse people, but I agree that another properly-done flat ride would be helpful (and spread riders between it and Saucers since many people would probably choose one or the other). Speaking of the TSL region of the park, part of any area-wide upgrades should really include thematic improvements to Pixar Plaza. It made sense when it was the “Pixar Studios” (with characters magically stepping off the page), but now, where the heck are we supposed to be? I wouldn’t mind them throwing that entrance archway sign back up for the time being just so the area has an explanation (but they seem dead-set against “studio” theming even as a temporary stopgap in advance of a larger overhaul because “it’s not the park’s direction,” even if that means causing something to make no sense, e.g., the Star Tours facade)… EDIT: I rescind my comment in favor of “throwing that entrance archway sign back up.” A grand sign claiming it’s “Pixar Studios” would be way over-promising now that the area doesn’t even have a ride.

A Slinky Dog spinner for families and small children who would never board Slinky Dog Dash.

triceratops spinner moved/rethemed? honestly I think they should (and this will never happen and shouldnt at least until many other things are added) gut the 3rd track half of the TSMM building, retheme it to Andy Toybox with new entrance on southern half of building and create a massive indoor area with places to explore and run around in kinda like little mermaid land in Tokyo DL. Maybe add a small attraction, and relocate gift shop for TSMM right after exit that then exits into toybox Also use it as a new entrance/exit to the land accessed by Pixar Alley

If they got rid of the Muppets balloons for Galaxy's Edge sightlines, they probably wouldn't build parachute drop. That is a really tall structure and dominates the WDS skyline

Yknow there’s a very dirty joke I could make here

Not at all related to the "rumor" above, but couldn't they maybe fit the toy soldier parachute drop?

If they were actually going to add a ride to Toy Story Land where would it even go? There's really nowhere to expand without doing some major construction/demolition, unless I'm missing something. Unless we're talking Triceratops Spin (or something else equally small). I think even that would be kind of difficult because of how badly the land is designed, but they could probably shoehorn a spinner in there somewhere.

Is this a M&G that costs a quarter of a billion dollars and we can ride it?
